Located within the beautiful Forest of Dean, Ensors are ideally located to source the very highest quality of livestock from within Gloucestershire and its surrounding Counties. These close links to the local farming community mean that livestock can be transported for processing with minimal stress whilst also reducing food miles. Organic, Rare Breed, Farm Assured, Freedom Food and breed specific livestock can all be sourced from approved livestock producers in accordance with customer requirements along with more conventional stock.

Ensors operates a multi-species EC licensed Abattoir and co-located cutting plant that processes pork, beef and lamb. The site's production operations are accredited by the most rigorous industry animal welfare and food safety standards and staffed by a local workforce of fully licensed and trained employees who are experts in their field of work.

Clients are supplied nationwide with red meats in any format from whole carcase through to primals or any other meat cuts in any required volume.

A key feature of the service offered to customers is the flexibility either to purchase products that have been processed from stock sourced by Ensors or to utilise the company resources on a contract basis to process product from the customer's own farm stock or a pre-established livestock source.
